• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks. • Graduation in Computer Science/IT from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject and in aggregate, provided that Computer Science subject should be studied as a main subject in all the years. OR B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks • Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Paper-II) conducted by the Government of India. • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks • Three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed from an NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks. OR • Four years integrated degree from an NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. Part is also included. • Experience of teaching in a similar capacity in a recognized school • Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English. • Experience of working in a residential school • Knowledge of regional language |

• Four years integrated degree course from an NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks in Punjabi as well as in aggregate including B.Ed component. • Bachelor/Honours degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in Punjabi, in combination of subjects as well as in aggregate and B.Ed from NCTE. Degree/ NCTE recognized recognized institution with minimum 50% marks (Only from the receiving institution Three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed with minimum 50% marks/ 01 year B.Ed. (Special with minimum 50% marks. Education permitted) RCI recognized institution for interview OR Post Graduation in Punjabi/ Any specialty in Punjabi with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade provided the candidate has studied Punjabi as mentioned in the note below at the graduation level and has done three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed with minimum 50% marks from an NCTE recognized institution. • Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Paper-II) conducted by the Government of India. • Ability to teach through English and Hindi languages. “For Training – A person with B.Ed. (Special Education) qualification will be appointed from Thereafter, he/she will undergo a 6-month special programme recognized by NCTE. Note: The candidate should have studied Punjabi as a subject/elective subject for at least three years/06 semesters in Graduation/Four Year Integrated Degree Course. |
Age Limit: The upper age limit for all categories of teachers is 50 years as on 1st July 2026. The maximum age limit for ex-NVS/retired Government School Teachers will be 65 years as on 1st July 2026.
