Online applications are invited for 75 vacant posts of Safai Sewak and 92 vacant posts of Mali.
Safai Sewak

One post shall be filled on merit basis from the combined merit list of the above three Physically Disabled Categories.
Note: The number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
Age Limit (as on June 30, 2026)
General: Not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.
Relaxations:
Persons with Disability (40% or more disability): 10 years relaxation.
Ex-servicemen: By number of years equal to their defense service plus 3 years.
Qualification
Common Requirement: Knowledge of Hindi and regional language.
Preference for Mali
Diploma related to gardening from any recognized institute AND/OR three years’ experience as Gardener.
Preference for Safai Sewak
Minimum three years’ experience as Safai Sewak (Sweeper).
Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
- General and SC/ST/BC of areas/States other than Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh: ₹700/-
- SC/ST/BC of Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh: ₹600/-
- Ex-servicemen: ₹600/-
- Persons with disabilities (PWD): ₹600/-
- No application fee for dependents of Ex-Servicemen who are disabled/deceased during active operation (with requisite document proof).
Note: Online transaction charges shall be levied extra.
Reservation and Fee Relaxation
- Benefit of SC/ST/BC reservation and fee relaxation is available only to those with certificates issued by Punjab, Haryana, or U.T. Chandigarh, and who are domiciled/permanent residents of these States/U.T. Chandigarh.
- SC/ST/BC candidates from other areas/states will be considered under the General Category.
- Reservation for Ex-Servicemen is for Ex-Servicemen themselves, not their dependents.
- Candidates with less than 40% disability or disabilities other than Low Vision, Deaf and Dumb & Intellectually Disabled/Challenged (MILD IQ) will be considered under the General Category and are not entitled to age and fee relaxation.
Mode of Selection
- Candidates for Safai Sewak and Mali shall be selected on the basis of an interview.
- Shortlisting criteria may be followed, which will be informed at an appropriate time.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must submit the printout of their application form along with supporting documents (qualification proof, date of birth, caste certificate, NOC, disability certificate, etc.) at the time of testimonials checking.
- BC Category candidates must fulfill conditions for exclusion of ‘Creamy Layer’ and furnish a Declaration (Annexure ‘I’).
- Government/Semi-Government/Corporations/Boards employees must submit a Forwarding Letter/No Objection Certificate (NOC) (Annexure ‘II’).
- Candidates working on contract or ad hoc basis are not considered government employees and must apply as non-departmental candidates.
- Candidates must submit an Affidavit (Annexure ‘III’) regarding close relatives working in the High Court or District Courts.
- Candidates must furnish information and an Affidavit (Annexure ‘IV’) about previous employment(s).
- The particulars mentioned in the application form will be treated as final. Failure to produce supportive testimonials will lead to rejection.
- The High Court’s decision on all matters (acceptance/rejection, eligibility, selection criteria) shall be final.
E-Admit Card & Interview
- Link for downloading E-Admit Cards will be uploaded on the official website: www.highcourtchd.gov.in.
- Candidates will receive E-mail/SMS notifications.
- Admit Cards will not be sent by post.
- Candidates must paste a duly attested/self-attested photograph on their E-Admit Card, matching the uploaded photograph.
- Date(s) of Interview will be notified on the official website.
- Candidates are advised to regularly visit the website and check their E-Mail accounts for updates.
General Notes
- If applying for both posts, apply separately for each.
- Only one application per category will be considered; the latest will be taken if multiple are submitted.
- Merely satisfying eligibility does not guarantee an interview call. The High Court reserves the right to alter/modify terms and conditions.
- Certificates for preference claims (gardening diploma/experience) must be produced at testimonials checking.
- Caste/community certificates for backward class reservation must be latest and ensure the candidate does not fall in the creamy layer.
- Admission at all stages is provisional and subject to scrutiny.
