Note: Consultant (Taxation) and Consultant (Constructions) posts are purely temporary, initially for one year on fixed emoluments.
Job Profile & Qualifications
1. Consultant (Taxation)
- Job Profile: Assist Prof. Incharge (Finance & Development) in all taxation matters (Income Tax, GST), ensure applicability & implementation of tax acts, timely deposit of taxes, filing of returns, audit, and compliance. Guide the University on statutory liabilities and maintain liaison with tax authorities.
- Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Chartered Accountant with five years of experience.
- Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- Rich background and experience in Taxation & its management, especially in Educational Institutions.
- Sound knowledge of Govt. Financial Rules and desirable experience in Finance/Accounts Division of Central/State Government.
- Knowledge of record maintenance & timely submission of statutory returns.
- Capable of independently working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills, well versed in MS-Office/Excel & ERP software.
- Upper Age Limit: 65 years.
2. Consultant (Constructions)
- Qualification: Class-I / A-Class officer serving or retired in government organization.
- Experience: 10 years of work experience in the relevant field in a government organization.
- Upper Age Limit: 65 years (appointment extendable yearly up to 70 years).

Important Instructions
- Application Mode: Online only through Guru Nanak Dev University website: http://www.digital.gndu.ac.in.
- Hard Copy Submission: Two printouts of the online application form must be taken. Affix the same passport size photograph (uploaded online) on both. One copy along with self-attested copies of all educational/professional qualifications, experience, and reserve category certificates (with latest Punjab Domicile Certificate/Punjab Residence Certificate for reserved categories) must be sent to The Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar-143005 (Pb.) by July 17, 2026. Keep the second copy with you.
- Distance Education: Candidates who passed qualifying examination through Distance Education/Correspondence mode must attach self-attested copies of Certificate(s)/Degree(s) & all DMCs, and Territorial Jurisdiction/UGC-DEB approval certificate of the particular session.
- Email & Website: Candidates must have a valid, active Email-ID and regularly check their inbox/spam and the University website www.digital.gndu.ac.in for updates.
- In-Service Candidates: Must apply online and send the hard copy through their employer. May appear for interview without NOC but no extension in joining time will be allowed if selected. An undertaking on the university website format is required.
- Reservation Policy: As per instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab and adopted by the university. Benefits are for residents of Punjab State only.
